For those who haven't tried it, tell us about Clubbercise! What makes your Widnes classes special, and when do they run?

Clubbercise is a fun, nightclub-inspired fitness class where participants dance, burn calories and have a great time using LED glow sticks in a darkened room with disco lights. My Widnes classes are welcoming, inclusive and suitable for all fitness levels and abilities.

The darkened room creates a relaxed, non-judgemental atmosphere where people feel comfortable letting go, having fun and exercising without worrying about who's watching.

There is no pressure to get every move right. The routines stay the same for each track and many of the songs are rotated regularly, so participants naturally become more familiar with the moves over time. If you do go wrong, it really doesn't matter โ€” we all do at times and we're all in it together. The focus is on enjoying yourself, building confidence and getting fit rather than achieving perfect choreography. Classes currently run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Widnes.

You've hit the ground running โ€” are you planning to expand your class timetable or locations in the future?

Absolutely. My goal is to continue growing the classes in Widnes while exploring opportunities to add more sessions and potentially expand into other local areas. I'm always listening to participant feedback and looking at where there is demand.

I'm currently looking at bringing old-style Popmobility back and will be setting up Personal Training as I also specialise in strength training.

The ultimate dream for me is to eventually have my own private studio where I can run classes every night and also offer completely private 1-2-1 PT sessions.

Have your participants mentioned anything about the new "no-account" booking experience?

Yes, participants have commented on how quick and easy it is. Removing the need to create an account has made booking much more convenient, particularly for first-time attendees who just want to secure their place without any extra steps.

We saw you've been selling Glow Sticks through the platform โ€” how is that going?

Really well. It's convenient for participants to purchase glow sticks when they book their class, and it saves time on the night. Having everything in one place makes the process much smoother for both myself and my customers.

Is offering Family Clubbercise sessions something you have considered or are currently planning?

It's definitely something I would consider in the future. Family fitness is a great way to encourage people of all ages to be active together, and Clubbercise naturally appeals to both adults and younger participants because of the music and glow sticks.

What would you say are the top 3 features of the GetaBooking system so far?

Many of the features I would normally ask for are already available. Cross-promotion opportunities between instructors, venues and complementary businesses could also help increase visibility and attract new customers. In addition, a scheme that allows customers to access discounts across different locations or classes within the network could encourage participation and strengthen the Clubbercise community.

How has your experience been getting bookings through the system compared to your previous provider?

The transition has been smooth and straightforward. The booking process feels simpler for both me and my participants, and managing bookings has become much easier. The system is intuitive, user-friendly and saves me valuable time compared to previous platforms I've used.

It has also given me confidence that the platform can support my future plans as I continue to grow my fitness classes and expand into personal training services. We noticed you used our AI features during your setup. What was the best and worst part of that experience and how have you found the overall support?

The best part was how quickly the AI helped generate content and get everything set up. It saved a lot of time and gave me a great starting point. The only downside was that, like any AI tool, some of the content needed a few tweaks โ€” like my exercise screening form โ€” to make it feel more personal and aligned with my own style and brand. However, these edits were minor and still saved me a significant amount of time overall.

It also meant I could stay compliant with all my health and safety requirements โ€” as an instructor it's super important to me that my clients are safe and screened properly pre-exercise. GetaBooking made this process so easy and customised!
