🆕 October 2026 Upgrade: Membership & Class Pass Capabilities
Originally released in April 2026, the Membership system has had a major upgrade. You can now configure subscriber tiers, set per-service perks, grant monthly pass allowances, gate access to specific bookings, and track customer balances — all directly from your dashboard.
1. Dashboard Setup & Management Hub
To access the configuration panel, go to Bookable Items > Membership in your dashboard.
- System Activation: Toggle memberships on to instantly display a "Join Membership" banner on your public booking site.Tier Management: Add or edit up to 5 distinct membership plans.Member Overview: View, search, and manage your active subscriber base in real time.
2. Membership Selling Card Configuration
Each plan features a customisable selling card rendered on your public booking page. All fields support full free text:
- Plan Title: Set the tier name (e.g. Glow Membership).Price & Cadence: Set recurring billing amounts and frequency (e.g. £60/mo).Subtitle: Define a short descriptive summary.Feature List: Add custom line items detailing subscriber benefits (e.g. 5% off all services, priority scheduling, exclusive treatments).
3. Per-Service Membership Rules & Capabilities
Under each bookable item on your menu, you can configure four specific membership capabilities:
- Percentage Discounts: Set a custom percentage discount (e.g. 5% or 20% off) applied automatically to the booking total at checkout.Free Monthly Passes (Class Pass System): Allocate a fixed number of free sessions per calendar month (e.g. 4 passes/mo). The system applies a 100% discount until the allowance is reached, resetting automatically on the 1st of each month.Combined Passes + Discounts: Define a free pass allowance paired with a percentage discount. Once a member uses their free monthly passes, the percentage discount automatically applies to subsequent bookings that month.Gated Booking Access: Enable "Require membership to book" on any service. The system checks the customer's email against active subscriptions; non-members are prompted to subscribe before they can complete the booking.
4. Client Wallet & Automated Validation
- Email Verification: Customer emails are validated automatically during booking to verify active subscription status, apply correct pricing, and send branded receipts.Client Wallet (💳): Click the wallet icon next to any name in your calendar or client list to view individual payment history, deducted bookings, and remaining monthly pass allowances.Multi-Ticket Rules: If a member books multiple slots or tickets in a single transaction, member discounts and pass rules apply across the total booking.
5. Billing & Portal Management
- Customer Self-Service: Members access a Stripe Customer Portal directly from your site to update payment methods or cancel plans.Automated Expirations: If a plan lapses or is cancelled, member pricing and gated access are automatically revoked on the exact expiration date.

You can create up to five different membership types directly in your dashboard. Whether you want a single "All Access" pass or tiered options like Bronze, Silver and Gold, the choice is yours.
The Join Banner
The moment you enable memberships, a sleek "Join Membership" banner appears at the top of your booking site. No code changes, no fiddling with settings — it just works.
Direct Sign-ups
Your customers can subscribe to your memberships directly through GetaBooking, handled securely by our integrated payment system. No third-party tools, no manual invoicing.
Two Ways to Reward Your Members
We've given you full control over how you offer value to your subscribers.
1. Members-Only Exclusivity
Want to keep your "Advanced Yoga" or "VIP Coaching" sessions for subscribers only? Simply go to your Bookable Items, find the service, and tick the "Require Membership" box. Now, only active members can see and book those slots.
2. Member-Specific Pricing
You can now offer member discounts without using manual codes. Once a membership type is enabled, you can set a discount percentage in the settings.
- Want it to be a perk? Set a 20% discount for members.Want it to be "All-You-Can-Book"? Set a 100% discount, making the service free for members whilst non-members still pay full price.
💳 Client Wallet & Membership Feature
Streamline your business revenue and build client loyalty by managing upfront payments, package deals, and monthly subscriptions seamlessly.
How the Client Wallet Works:
Simple Management, Powerful Validation
When a customer goes to book, the system validates their email address instantly. This ensures their membership is active and allows the platform to send out receipts, confirmations, and reminders automatically. No manual checking, no spreadsheets.
A Note on Multi-Ticket Bookings
We've designed the system to be flexible. If a member books multiple tickets — for example, bringing friends along to try a class — the discount applies to the whole booking. We think most businesses want to encourage members to grow their community, so we've left this open for you to manage as you see fit.
Easy Cancellations
We've kept cancellations simple. Customers can manage or cancel their membership directly from your membership page, or contact you if they prefer a personal touch.
- 1Customers can click "manage" on your membership page to access the Stripe customer portal, where they can cancel or update their payment details themselves.
- 2Alternatively, they contact you directly — giving you a chance to offer a "save" or gather feedback. You can then cancel the subscription with one click in your Stripe Payments Dashboard.
- 3GetaBooking does the rest. Our system automatically knows exactly when that membership expires and will update their status without you lifting a finger.

- Share your booking page exclusively with members. Simply share your GetaBooking link only with your existing members and make it clear on your booking site that membership is required to book.Use a custom field for membership acknowledgement. Add a custom field to your bookable items asking customers to confirm they are an active member. You can include a link to your membership signup page in the acknowledgement text.Create a member discount code. Set up a discount code in your dashboard and share it with your members. You can change the code every few months to keep it secure.
